~~December~~

Hello fellow bloggers!!

Well can you believe another month has passed us by?? Had a sad moment today, my 9 yr old son Zachary confronted me on the "Santa Clause Question" ~ I knew this moment would happen, but so hard when it does! I asked him to sit down that I had a story to tell him, and i told the whole Kris Kringle story ~ and stressed that Christmas was not about Santa Clause but being with those you love, sharing jesus's special day, showing your family how much you care. I told him the spirit of santa lives in each child and adults ~ if they let it happen. These slow, huge tears rolled down his face, but as the story went on he seemed to understand what I was saying. It is hard when your child moves from one step to another, to lose some of the child innocence. His mind went back to earlier xmas's and he would say ohhh you did that, or you ate the cookies ~ i still think it will take some time for him to understand.

Tis also alittle sad today, my sweetie Patrick flew back to New York for a week ~ so he could spend some time with Pops (his stepfather) who is seriously ill, and to help his Mom out. He called me twice already (from the airports) and he's not even in New York yet! I sooo miss him. We are still like newlyweds, kiss each other hello ~ goodbye and a zillion times inbetween.

I love snuggling up to him in bed at night and feeling his arms around me - safe, warm, loved. We would have all loved to go to new york again, but Zach can't afford to miss so much school, and with 4 of us flying it costs a fortune! I must admit i shed a few tears after he left ~ reminded me of the 2 and half years we were dating long distance (flying back and forth between michigan and new york every 6-8 weeks). I had a love/hate relationship with the airport ~ loved picking him up, hating bringing him back!!

Please say special prayers for Pop's and his family ~ such special people. On a happier note, my son Mitch will be home in about 15 days..oooooooooo rah!! Every time I talk to him I notice a difference ~ I'm so very proud of you Son! Must Run ~ Ciao All
