First Snowfall Soon

Good day all you fellow bloggers!

It's fridayyyyyyyy ~ whooo hooo! Smell of snow is in the air, might get alittle bit this weekend. We are still finishing up our winterization before winter sets in. Patrick has been chopping wood like crazy ~ I think he's turned into a lumberjack!! Heard from my son Mitch the other day ~ first call he has made since joining the Army. He sounded good, alittle homesick, but alright. He said he has learned to master eating a whole tray of food in under a minute with a sargent screaming in his ear!! I was surprised to get a letter from him, when he left he said, "mom i hate writing letters", "so don't expect any" ~ then he tells me on the phone he's been writing everyday!!

There was always this long standing "joke" with Mitch and I...i would say..I love you Mitch..and he'd always say ~ yeah or ok ~ and then i'd say...And you loveeeeeeeeee me toooooooo, and he would laugh and say yeah. So during our phone conversation he says..mom i gotta go..and i say..we are so proud of you mitch and we love you lots. There was this dead air that seemed to go on forever...and for a moment I thought he had hung up..and I'm saying Mitch, mitch? and I hear this soft I love you too - gotta go. So i hang up and Patrick is sitting there saying..what did he say, what did he say? And I just burst into tears! For Mitch not to Joke and do our long standing..i love you tooooooooo thingy ~ i knew he was probably a tad scared, lonely and missing home. My heart just ached for him in that moment. Good news tho is that he gets to come home for two weeks over Xmas!!

Now on to football.....I'm Number 1 in 3 of the 4 fantasy football leagues I am in!! Guess you can't whine too much about that! The 4th league i'm in I have the most fantasy football points ~ but just need to start getting some wins. Lost a few close games ~ but it all settles down after the byes are done! I'm also taking care of Mitchell's 4 fantasy football teams ~ so you can tell what I do alot of on weekends!! Heading down to Minneapolis November 19th weekend for my sister's graduation from college. She will now be known as Dr. Skoviak!!! Congratssssssss Patti!! Did I mention i have this ache.....

The fantasy football league...1 of 16...i am the only woman...kinda feels good to be beating 15 guys in football!! (woman...hear me roarrrrrrr) ~ one of those 15 is Patrick! Sorry dear! Well time to run, gonna enjoy this weekend..Patrick doesn't have to work this Saturday...whooo hoooo we have a whole weekend off for a change!! Now, where did I put that shovel..........
