Howdy Bloggers!!

I was looking back at my blogs and noticed I did a special blog about my oldest son Mitchell, and my youngest daughter Jessica ~ and now it is time for my little man Zach attack to get one! Zachary John is almost 10 years old and was born on a hot, summer July morning. He had a wisp of reddish hair that today still highlights his dark brown hair. Mitchell at the time was 11 years old and kept wishing for a new sibling. My husband and I had pretty much given up ever having another baby ~ I mean for 11 years nothing happened. What a wonderful day it was when we found out we were finally going to have a second child!

Now having boys 11 years apart can be challenging ~ but it worked out well for us. Mitchell has always been Zachary's mentor, and now that he is in the Army ~ Zachary is even more proud! And then you bring in Jessica~ who is 8 years younger then Zach ~ so Zachary is truly, the child in the middle on all accounts! :)

Zachary has these stunning eyes of green/blue that are on some days just like the seafoam color of the ocean. He can simply change the color of his eyes by just changing his shirt. His eyes adjust to different colors - when he wears blue, they are a beautiful sky blue etc.. When he grows to be a man, those eyes will be killers on the ladies!! *hee hee* He has these adorable dimples, that when he smiles almosts stops your heart. The freckles on his face only adds more cuteness to him.

Zachary just finished the 3rd grade and is eager to get into 4th. He does pretty well in school except for when he wants to be the "class clown" ~ I have absolutely nooooo idea where he would get that from~~ (whistles at the ceiling). He loves to read ~ and goes thru books like they are candy! Right now he is at a 9th grade reading/understanding level ~ horray for Zach! Now anyone that knows Zachary knows he likes to talk. He will ask you the toughest questions that really make you think. He once asked me where God was buried. Another time he went to Kids Club where they talked about Easter and the 10 Commandments and he came home and asked me, " Mom it says in the 10 Commandments that "thou shall not kill" right?" and I said yes ~ so then he says, "well when Moses parted the Red Sea and the people were all through, and he closed the water onto the soldiers, didn't he kill them??" So I sat there and thought about it and I was like well yes I guess he did. I mean really, how do you explain that to a child?? *lol*

Zachary and I love to play a board game called Risk. Usually it is a game for older adults ~ for it takes alot of planning, understanding, calculating but he so enjoys to play. It takes a few hours to play but it is our "special" time. We sit and have snacks, laugh, talk and play. At first I would purposely lose once in awhile, but now I have to really fight to try and win!! (what a brat eh?) For Christmas he got the orginial Risk game where the pieces are all made of wood and not the plastic of the past few years. Zachary also enjoys video games, Xbox, nintendo64, and playing Warcraft on the internet.

Zachary was only 6 months old when we lost his grandparents so he has never known them. I share stories and pictures with him and at times he talks like he actually "knows" them ~ It is cute. My parents were such great role models for my oldest son Mitchell that I feel bad that Zachary and Jessica will never know that ~ Grandparents always have that special type of love and cookies in the cookie jar!! So my little man Zach this blog is for you. We love you, we cherish you, we adore you, and we are proud to call you Son.

~Mom~
